Comments about BlueWater Ropes 9.9mm Pulse:

This is my go-to rope when I climb at my limit. It's light, but the diameter is big enough to take a beating. This rope has held its shape better than any other I have used at this diameter. It feeds smooth and clips even smoother. The perfect balance between stiff and wiry and soft and pliable. I can't say enough good things about the quality and durability of this rope. It has seen about 80 full days of climbing this year, and still looks and feels brand new with no fuzzing and no frayed ends at tie-in points. Get it.

Comments about BlueWater Ropes 9.9mm Pulse:

i have been climbing for more than 17yrs and finally invest in my first rope ( lucky me, always part of clubs and have loving friends who own gear). After shopping hard against various brands, I thought this is the winner because there's not many options for 70m rope that is within my budget and at this weight range.
It's quite a mess uncoiling when first received.
indoors worked great like a beauty. brought it out finally after breaking it in a few times in gym. I climb on sandstone, desert. it picked up dirt and sand very quickly so there went its brand new 'look'. i love the lightweight and it handle very nicely for the belayer and leader.
However, just less than 5 months, three trips outdoors, no falls, the sheath begins to fray. I kept using it but the next time I notice, the sheath frayed through to the core, which makes me super nervous on all my leads. The frays happens on several parts of the rope, and the other parts also shows fuzziness, like what you would see on very used old ropes. I am terribly disappointed that the beauty didn't last and the quality failed me. This rope cost me a lot and lasted less than 8 months max.
