Good pack even for first time backpacker. Distributed weight well even when doubted 1st few minutes. Seems like its a little heavy but works very well with straps and pockets for everything.

I took this bag on it's maiden voyage over Thanksgiving weekend. After nine miles, the bag felt as light and a comfortable as it did when I put it on. (I'm accustomed to bags that seem to get heavier as you wear them.) No sweaty spots, no rubbed-areas, and HIGHLY adjustable, even on-the-go. This was the ONLY bag I found when shopping, that was wide enough that the shoulder straps didn't rub on my neck. If you're a gal with broad shoulders, give this pack a try!
