I couldn't decide between the Astro, or the Elroy. I wanted to make sure the bag was big enough for my daily commute. After all there is only a $10 difference which will barely get you a combo meal at the local sub shop these days. I took a gamble and went with the smaller Astro. It will easily hold my Macbook Pro 15 inch, an insulated lunch cooler, a 32 oz water canteen, a 14 oz insulated coffee mug, an umbrella plus much more. I have no idea if this is a good messenger bag, but it works wonderfully to carry from the car to the cubicle. I think it will also be a great carry on bag for my next business trip. It has all the features as the larger Elroy pack. Bottom line it meets my needs and I am very happy with my purchase. Campsaver got it to me quick too!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great bag. I use if for work and travel. Easily holds my laptop, a couple of folders, and various other things in the multiple pockets available. Could probably fit a change of clothes, but it would be pretty full.
