Description

The Big Agnes Blackburn SL Sleeping Bag is filled with light, compressible 800 fill goose down and weighs only 2 lb 13 oz. Like all Big Agnes sleeping bags, the Blackburn SL has an integrated pad sleeve so you never roll of your pad again. Removing the insulation on the bottom also reduces weight since compressed down has no insulating effect.

Comments about Big Agnes Blackburn 0 SL Sleeping Bag (800 Down):

I slept in the long version of this bag for the first time recently on a snowy 20 degree night in the KY hills. I wore top and bottom baselayers, medium weight wool socks, and a wool head cap to bed. When stuffed into a medium Sea to Summit eVent compression sack, the package easily fit into the bottom compartment of my Osprey Aether. I used the Big Agnes insulated Air Core pad in conjunction with the bag and was really impressed by the pad as well. The whole system was incredibly comfortable and I awoke feeling like I had slept in my bed. I also had a closed cell Thermarest beneath me because I was worried the temperature might drop even lower and leave me chilled on the bottom, but it was probably unnecessary. I haven't really tested the temperature limits of the bag yet, but feel confident it would perform well in even colder temperatures. I'm 6'4", 190 lbs. and there was plenty of room in the bag for me to roll onto my side. All in all, I'm happy with the purchase and would recommend the bag, particulary if you can catch in on sale at Campsaver.
