Extremely versatile layer. I would purchase this again and strongly recommend it. I have used this while sprint kayaking 5 miles, cruising 30 miles on my bike, and hiking an hour with a 60 lb pack for training purposes. This is an excellent layer that wicks the moisture away (using First Ascent Paradise Baselayer).Plus it's nice enough to wear out for a meal afterward :)

I said this for the Down Sweater too, but definitely anyone who spends any time outdoors any time of year should own a piece of Capilene 3. Keeps you dry when you're moving and sweating, and keeps you warm when you're not. I wear it on it's own in the fall for mountain biking, all winter long under my ski jacket, and take it on every camping trip during the summer to wear at night. It's amazing how long it lasts too, seriously forever. I've got a top and bottom that easily have a couple hundred days in them and they practically look like new.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
