I buy elliptic for best durability. Round poles simply bend eventually on tough terrain. Shock absorption is ok. Flick-locks work great.

These trekking poles are bombproof!! they are heavier than some of their counterparts but they more than make up for this with durability and comfort. These poles were used for day hikes in the mountains at Glacier National Park. They really added stability on the steep climbs and I appreciated the shock feature on the way down. These poles are rock solid- they don't flex or pogo stick at all. The flexlocks are really solid. Campsaveer offered these at an amazing price too. Thanks.
