It's a footprint. Big surprise. I haven't gone for the fast fly setup yet... and I may not. I really just got this to protect the base of the tent, for which it is adequately suited.I haven't contacted BA about this yet, but it seemed like maybe the footprint was just a hair too big for my tent. I double checked that I got the UL2 footprint for my UL2 tent, but for some reason it just wouldn't line up. And yes, I did match the ends correctly. If I find anything out from BA customer support I will try to update this review.Don't let this review stop you from buying the footprint if you feel you need it, but if you already have one from another tent, it will probably work just as well unless you want to do the fast fly setup. Seriously though, why would you drop some serious change on a tent like the Copper Spur to leave it at home and just take the rain fly and footprint?

I will use this product on the PCT, John Muir Trail, or The High Sierra Trail. Since most areas are rock and pine needle covered in the Sierras, the footprint will serve my tent well. All pieces of the tent hook into the footprint nicely.
