Nice shoes. Maybe just a touch light for a clydesdale like me. I think they'll be great for half marathons and shorter. Nice construction. Seem a little light in the forefoot area, but they run just fine. Not as much cushioning as my Adidas Supernova Adapts.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Scott shoes may not be well know like other running shoes brands, but this shoe is a gem! There website mentions a rocker feel and eride tech. It definitely has a rocker feel. You notice that you run faster without exerting too much extra energy and your stride is more fluid. I run around 20 miles a week and the sole holds well. It's light weight, with a stability part to control pronation and very comfortable cushioning, probably the best I have run in and that includes popuar shoe brands.This is my race shoe too, light, confortable, fast, durable and with a solid base which I feel helps feel the ground. I only run in these shoes now. Not too many negatives about the shoes other than the color is a bit out there but if it makes you run faster and better who cares right?
