Description

The Montane Featherlite Down Jacket is exceptionally light, highly versatile for year round mountain activities. Insulation doesn’t get much lower in weight or bulk than this. Wear as a mid-layer when moving quickly in really cold conditions or as outer insulation on cool evening camps. Packing down to the size of a large orange it will hardly be noticed whilst stowed in your backpack, whilst the PERTEX Quantum outer fabric allows the down to loft to its capacity on demand.

Internal tab to lock down and roll away the hood in windy conditions

Adjustable hem to prevent spindrift entry and heat loss

As with all MONTANE clothing, PERTEX fabric contains a Durable Water Repellency (DWR) as the first barrier to keeping you dry. Clean your garment in order to maintain this.
MONTANE recommends a professional cleaning service if in any doubt.
Down clothing ideally needs to be handwashed. Care must be taken to dry the product correctly.
Wash in a mild soap in warm water 40C/110F. MONTANE recommends Nikwax Down Wash.
DO NOT use fabric softeners, bleach or liquid detergent.
Rinse the product thoroughly after washing to remove any soap traces.
You must dry the product carefully in a tumble drier on a cool setting. You may need to stop the tumble drier at regular intervals to loft the down by hand It will take some time to dry a down product thoroughly, even if the outer fabric is dry the down may not be

- A:
  The sleeve length for the xl in this jacket is 27 inches, while the back length is 29 inches. Montane jackets usually run true to size, although some may be slightly roomier. There are no velcro cuffs or thumb holes, only an elastic band, but there is an adjustable waist drawcord. Finally, there is no chin guard, and the whole jacket is made of windproof PERTEX Quantum, while the insulation is 750 fill PEAQ Down.
