Five Ten was founded in 1985 by Charles Cole. Fresh with an MBA from the University of Michigan, Cole was “living the life” in Yosemite. He climbed everything from hard boulder problems to multi-pitch free routes up the big granite faces, but his specialty was first-ascent solo aid routes.
