Not an ultralight stove but what a great design, and energy efficiency means less fuel to carry. Love the way everything packs in the cup and it's so easy to set up and boil water in no time. The coffee plunger works well. It's great to have real coffee on the trail, though more of a mess to clean up. Not a problem if near water, but otherwise think I'll use instant. But this will store in my car most of the time for a quick coffee on long trips, or even a quick meal. Great product.

Overall I am very happy with the Jet boil Flash. I bought this for weekend backpacking trips and this certainly works the best for me. I only bring freeze-dried meals so this is perfect. I made noodle soup on one occasion and it wasn't the easiest to clean, but wasn't terrible. The worst part was that it was only used a few times and the smell either from the lid or the neoprene was a bit much.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I brought this stove with me to my two-week annual training in the summer with the army national guard (Infantry). I spent two weeks at Ft. Drum in the field. Anyone who has been to any military reservation know they have thier own weather system. With that being said, we saw high temps in the 100's and low temps into the 30's, rain, wind, and sun.

This stove was perfect for doing what it was designed to do-heating water, and fast. It has claimed to boil a liter of water in 90 seconds. It does. I used it primarily to make coffee in the morning, which was as easy as boiling water. I used it to boil water to get a clean shave in the morning, and would have gotten chewed out if I didn't!

This stove is compact as all the parts fit into itself. It took me a few times to figure out how to stack everything inside, but quickly got the hang of it.

This stove is durable too. It took a beating as it was tossed around in my rucksack for 15 days. After rain and heat, the stove held up. It fired up everytime and did not require more than 1-2 pushes of the ignition system. All the guys asked where I got it, and told 'em campsaver.com!

This is my first Jetboil product, and certainly not my last. I have used it several times since the summer and keep it in my bug-out-bag.

Great product, reasonably priced, shipped fast, great customer service!
