    Comments about Black Diamond Focus Harness:

    I have used this harness in the gym, on single-pitch sport routes, and on trad routes up to 6 pitches in length. In the last case, I wore the harness for about 5.5 hours including descent. I like it because it is lightweight, reasonably comfortable, has a large easy-to-reach haul loop, and an extra little cord loop on the back that I used to attach a water bottle. The gear loops are fine, pretty much just like other harnesses I've worn. Although the leg loops are not adjustable, the medium size that I purchased fits me well and I actually realized that the leg loops can slide up and down a tiny bit when hanging in the harness vs. climbing. They slide down on my legs when I'm at a hanging belay which makes it a bit more comfortable. Basically, this is a nice, affordable, comfy trad harness (I wore a pretty big rack in some cases). The only complaint that I do have is that the waist strap is annoying to get through the buckle. I do have to point out that I haven't taken a fall in this harness, so I can't comment on how well it does in such a situation. I'm not really willing to take whippers in order to review the harness, sorry :)
