      Great little power stove.

Comments about GigaPower Stove - Manual:

      Overall, best canister stove, IMHO.

Better than MSR Rocket Pocket in 2 ways, 1, more stable pot support, not pointy; 2, pack slightly smaller.

2 things you should keep in mind, 1, when the valve shut off completely, the folded extension may not in the perfect 90 degree position, which may affect you pack the stove. In other words, you have to turn it a little bit loose to fold the valve. Then if you forget to turn it back to shut off before screwing it on the canister, you may leave it open, hard to describe, you will see what i mean once you have it. 2, when fold it, you have to practice to squeeze 4 legs in same degree little by little to get a nicely full fold to fit in the hard plastic container. Nothing significant, just practice and know your gear.

Comments about GigaPower Stove - Manual:

I bought this after trying to shed some weight. It's most often compared to the Pocket Rocket which I have and love. But this one packs down just a bit smaller. There are also 4 pot stabilizers that will fit a smaller diameter pot so it's great for those deep pots 700mL and under. My 450 snow peak single wall mug fits on just fine. The only bad thing is that there's no wind protection and it weighs almost as much as the stove. Be sure to turn up the gas when lighting and the flame does seem a little more spread out that the PR so you may have better heat control (still not great)

Comments about GigaPower Stove - Manual:

I have had this stove for years and never had a problem with it. Cold weather is an issue but I have not had a problem with that either. I went to the cannister fuel system because I was tired of dealing with liquid fuel. I decided that I was willing to compromise on the wieght for easy opperation. I also notice that all of my companions using the super light alcohol stoves actually use my stove instead if that option is available. The stove is super compact and light. For my system the cannister and stove nestle into my 1L titanium pot for trips <4 days. I use mine without the wind screen attachment - have actually never tried it and just don't need the extra wieght. With thought to where I set up I have no issues with stability. I can also usually handle wind with careful placement.
