This windscreen works as well as any other. Why people give it a bad rating is beyond me. With any stove windscreen you have to provide a wind break,it's just that simple. In a shielded enviroment it works great! I have tried at least 25 different stoves and they all have problems in the wind. Have you ever tried to cook over a open fire in windy conditions????

Comments about GigaPower Windscreen:

Have had this item for over 5 (6,7,8?) years and used on more than 10 separate trips or so totaling over a months time. I have never had a problem with the awesome stove without this reflector dish.

It does NOT add to the stability of the stove, it just simply rest at the end of the claws.

I does not really add much to efficiency of the stove, at least not noticeable.

BIGGEST problem I have is when I try to nest this inside my titanium pots, I have to put paper on the bottom to avoid scratching the surface, plus it makes a "nails on chalkboard" screech when you put it inside/pull out of the pot, or when you try to put this thing onto the stove during installation.

The "nails on chalkboard" goose-bump effect is more than enough for me to rate this item a zero. Plus, it doesn't add anything to the efficiency that I can tell. I do not know why they bothered releasing this product in the first place.

About 300 miles worth of AT around PA, NY, NY.
