Description

The Fjallraven Greenland Jacket is an outdoor classic from 1968 that was developed in collaboration with members from the 1966 Greenland expedition. The original was made of tent material that was too heavy for lightweight tents. The result was an extremely durable jacket that was much appreciated by climbers. It did not take long for it to gain popularity for general use in forests and fields where it demonstrated rare durability. Today, many of the earlier versions have been passed to younger generations. Made of durable and adaptable G-1000 fabric, it has extra reinforcement over the shoulders and yoke. Two-way zipper with buttons in the front and at the sleeve cuffs. Snugly fitting hood. A classic that is aging with dignity.

    About Fjallraven

    Fjallraven
Fjallraven means Arctic Fox in Swedish, honoring the small and highly adaptable predator that lives in the Swedish mountains under the harshest conditions. The fundamental idea is to provide functional, durable, and timeless equipment to make the outdoors more enjoyable for all. In the 1950's, 14 year-old Aringke Nordin from Northern Sweden spent more time outdoors than indoors. After many long treks in the mountains, Nordin decided the backpacks at the time were unsatisfactory and took matters into his own hands by building a wooden frame. Nordin's innovation quickly caught on and in 1960 Fjallraven became the first to commercially make and distribute framed backpacks.
