Description

Not too warm and not too cold. At 30 degrees, the Big Agnes Gun Greek Sleeping Bag hits the sweat spot for temperature. The Gunn Creek uses 20 oz of Climashield HL insulation and only weighs a tad over 3 lbs. Like all Big Agnes Sleeping Bags, the Gunn Creek requires a pad. We recommend the Big Agnes Insulated Air Core Pad but any pad will do if it's the correct size. For the Regular get a 20x72 pad and for the long you''ll need a 20x78 in pad.

  • 70" YKK #8 zipper. Mate together our left and right zip bags with same size zipper.
  • No-draft collar seals around neck to keep cold air from sneaking in.
  • No-draft wedge insulates the connection between the bag and pad.
  • No-draft zipper tube insulates along the length of the zipper.
  • Shell: Nylon rip-stop. WR surface treatment to repel water
  • Lining: Soft, breathable nylon with stain resistant finish.

          Synthetic Insulation

          Most synthetic insulations try to mimic the qualities of down by creating pockets of dead air space to help prevent heat loss. Crimped polyester fibers create enough bulk to effectively trap air and provide insulation. You will find better compressibility and lighter weight in down insulation, but synthetics have their advantages. Synthetic insulators are hydrophobic, meaning they won't absorb moisture or lose their loft when exposed to wet conditions, making them a better choice for really wet conditions. Synthetics will also dry much faster than down and are normally less expensive.
