    Sure it's bigger than some, but that's why I like it. I can cook what ever I like when hiking as I'm not restricted by a small pot/cup. The design is very efficient using the gas canister upside down. The flame adjustment is delayed, but controllable all the same. I only take the 2L pot when hikinh by myself, but take the 3L when I'm hiking with more people. When turned up flatout, the output is impressive. It always starts first click.

      The Jetboil Helios Guide system is the best cooking system for backpacking I have used. It is lightweight, efficient, and compact. We had four crews use these systems at Philmont last summer, and they worked great. Cooking water is heated very quickly and cleanup is easy.

        i just want to ask if this cooking system wouldn't be coming off if put together. I've seen videos, the presenter has to hold the lid of the 3L pot just so it could close. otherwise everything comes off.

      Technology Used In The Helios Guide Cooking System

      Canister Stoves

      Canister stoves include both a pressurized fuel canister and a burner that attaches directly to the canister which doubles as a support base. Because canisters come pressurized, and lack a pump mechanism, low fuel quantity or varying temperatures can affect the performance of the stove. Canister stoves also lack the efficiency of a liquid fuel stove due to the loss of heat caused by wind. For safety reasons, most top mount canister stoves are not compatible with wind screens. Price and ease of use are definite advantages of the canister stove when compared with liquid fuel stoves.
