This jacket is always in my bag. Great as a windbreaker in changing conditions, and handles a heavy downpour. Don't have to worry about carrying a bulky shell when conditions may not warrant it.

I needed a light weight jacket to wear outside in inclement weather such as a sudden rain-shower.Or when I'm backpacking,the jacket is light as a feather and provides ample protection against the elements.

lack of hand pockets was a concern but all you really need in a rain jacket is the napoleon pocket.
Works great for a clean low key everyday rain jacket. Will be perfect for backpacking as it's super light, packs, and has the snug fit needed to walk with a pack on.
