Comments about Highwire 25 Hydration Pack:

I bought this pack because I needed a "Goldilocks" pack - one just the right size. This fit the bill perfectly. Enough for everything you'll need on a day hike - not an overnight unless you are a real minimalist. If you fill the 3L all the way full, it is a bit snug - but I don't drink nearly that much in six hours (and I share with my dog). The belt strap is great for a smaller pack and you can't beat the weight. I really like that you can access the top storage area from both the inside and the outside - one of those features that you wouldn't even think about, but when you have it, it's so convenient. The trekking pole system works ok, but it's not a "stow-on-the-go" like my Osprey Aura. The system would also work for an ice axe (and there are two) but you couldn't carry skis or a snowboard. Overall I am thrilled with it. AND I got it in "I'm over here, Mr. Helicopter!" yellow, which is a great thing to have.

Comments about Highwire 25 Hydration Pack:

I purchased this in late December and used it for the first time in early January for a 3 hour hike. It was very, very comfortable. The pack has many different sized pockets and storage areas. The thick strap at the hip area offers more support than a pack with a thin weak strap. My hiking partner tried the pack and agreed that the thick strap definitely offered more support. There wasn't any instruction or guidance with the pack on how to clean the water tube and/or reservoir unit. It can be figured out with common sense, but it would have been helpful to have instructions and recommendations on how best to sanitize the reservoir from growth of bacteria, collection of dirt, etc.

          About CamelBak

          CamelBak
Bite down. Do more. Bicycle enthusiast, Michael Eidson, was competing in the "Hotter'N Hell 100", a 100-mile road race in the grueling summer heat of Wichita Falls, Texas. Eidson, an emergency medical technician by trade, decides to fill an IV bag with water and slip it into a white tube sock. Then he stuffs the contraption into the back of his bike jersey, throws the thin hose over his shoulder and clamps it with a clothespin; hands-free hydration is born. It took courage, conviction, and imagination to evolve from an IV bag to what CamelBak is today. The company was built on core values that drive everything the people at CamelBak do - from inventing the hydration category to becoming the world's leading maker of hydration solutions headquartered in Petamula, CA.
