Comments about Metolius Inferno Wiregate Quickdraw:

These are my first quickdraws. I chose the Infernos largly on the basis of rated strength (actually marked 28-longitudinal 9-cross 10-open, and listed incorrectly on the product page at the time of this review). A lead fall can produce more force on the QD than the 7kN open-gate or cross-load strength of some other QD 'biners and I like the added security should I use one of these poorly.

Fortunately they are nice quickdraws. They are light weight for their strength and full size (84g on my scale). The 7" length seems just right, and the slings are a nice balance between full Nylon and UHMW.

I have no complaints about feel, finish, or gate action. I cannot report durability yet, but they have enough meat at the load points that I am optimistic.

The large unshrouded hook on the nose for the wire is a bit annoying after using keylock 'biners and the reason for the loss of one star.

Mine arrived without the rubber "JIG" pieces but CampSaver aquired and mailed the missing parts free of charge.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
