Bought this as an add-on to my Crown 60. Jury's out. Construction is solid, but it adds 25 percent weight to the pack, and doesn't sit well if the pack is not full. You're supposed to thread the shoulder pull-straps through it, which is a real hassle for taking the lid on and off. I don't bother. I bought this mostly for camera gear. It holds my SLR and a couple of mid lens pretty well, and I wear it as a fanny pack for lots of shooting on the trail, on top if I'm not. Also good for side trips or as an extra bag when traveling, but for most hikes, it's just not worth the extra weight and hassle, and stays at home.
