This has been a great pack so far. I can put a pair of running shoes (mens 11)along with 2 shirts, shorts and socks in the main compartment.(note: there is not much more room then that in the main compartment) There are 3 smaller pockets which are great for whatever you may need to bring, snacks, keys, phone etc... I have ran 5 miles with the pack and there was no problems, rubbing, not much bouncing.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Comments about Osprey Manta 25 Pack:

This pack fits on the body extremely well, it is very easy to run in or to carry on hikes. It can also fit a surprisingly large amount of things in there. The numerous pockets serve as excellent dividers for smaller items.

The downside of the package (not the pack itself) is the bladder. Altho it is designer quite well it does not have a cover for the mouth piece. Which is a fault of a lot of bladders. How designers leave this out is beyond me, if you do any trail running, riding, hiking etc there will be dirt and stuff kicked up and who wants to drink out of a dirty mouth piece. I always have to waste water giving it a rinse and even then who knows if its clean.

So the pack itself is excellent. Perfect for what I needed (a training pack). The bladder will probably be replaced by one of my camelback military bladders with the mouth piece cover.
I only got this pack after my other 'day pack' gave up the ghost

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is the best new item for cycling that I have seen in years. Osprey's attention to detail gives you a fully adjustable backpack that is stable, comfortable, and has plenty of cargo space. No longer will I have to put up with a water bladder that flops around and doesn't lie flat! The magnet keeps the water tube at just the right place. The only negative I can see is that the waist belt doesn't take the full weight when I use it for cycling. It can't, because a cyclist bends forward. For hiking, though, it ought to work great.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
