My hands have always hurt from the cold while on the slopes. These mitts keep your hands warm in the windchills up to -20F. The use was perfect for a Vail/Keystone/Breckenridge trip in Jan. 2008. During days above 0F my hands would actually begin to sweat. However, for me this was fine because I could remove my hands from the mitt while on the ski lift to take pictures and return phone calls and then place the mitt on again when headed down the slopes.
