Item was as described and shipping was timely. The item was exactly what I was looking for and the weight was minimal. The light weight did not hamper the quality of the item. It fit my stove perfectly and allows nesting stove and windshield in my cook kit easily. Items works well for intended purpose. I am quite happy with my purchase.

The stand is compact and light. While functional it is a bit cheap. I got this stand because the price was right, and just needed something to hold me off until I could make a superior home made design. While I love trangia burners, all the stoves/wind screens commercially made are not optimal. They have less BTU's then a liquid gas stove, are affected by extreme cold and wind. To get the most out of them they need a well designed stand. Lucky for us there has been plenty of experimenting and testing on the net. The burner needs to be off the cold ground, and be shieled from wind while have proper sized vent holes for intake and exaust. Most commercial stands do this OK. Where they fall short is the distance from the flame to the pot. This is critical and makes a 25% difference in cook times or more. Most exsisting burner holders hold the burner so the top edge of the burner is about 3/4 of an inch to the bottom of the pot. If you increase the distance to approx. 1 3/4 inches from the top edge of the burner to the bottom of the pot you get an improvement of cook times... (25 to 30 % faster to a boil) Everything else being equal.

For those not handy with tools this unit is usable and the lightest option for a store bought unit. It was handy to have several commercial holders to test against when making my custom unit.

If you have any skill at all with a drill and tin snips and a piece of roof flashing you can make a far superior holder for the Trangai burner that will fit the pots YOU use, and vanish when wrapped around your Nalgene bottle. All the ones I have made took under 10 minutes...

This little jewel is a perfect compliment to my fantastic Trangia alcohol stove burner. It is easy to carry because it fits inside pretty much any cooking pot with the Trangia burner nested inside the windscreen. It is very practical and simple to set up and use.
