Bought my son (scouting) a regular and got myself the long. I wanted a little extra room. Received the items packed loosely in their storage mesh bag and used the enclosed stuff sack (no compression straps) to get them down to a very packable size approx. 8x17 it fit well in my son's sleeping bag compartment in his 48L Osprey pack. We slept comfortably in 40 degree weather. I had to shed my base layer as it was too warm for me. Had no issues with zipper hanging. We did use these with Thermarest solar ridgerest pads. Several people in the troop were drooling over the packed size.

I really like this bag. It is lightweight, warm, and comfortable. I do wish it was just a little bit wider, but thats just because I move around a lot when I sleep. Other than that I am completely happy with this purchase.
