Ultra-lightweight but so far has been durable and waterproof/breathable as advertised. Stylish trim fit, but probably wouldn't fit as well if you have a big/thick frame. At the sale price (~$75) this was a great value. The hybrid softshell is a big upgrade over traditional fabric.

This is a great jacket, period. It's waterproof 9which means it is also windproof. it doesnt have a hood which is a plus for me because when hiking and climbing i very rarely use a hood. It's super light, makes for a great jacket to throw in your pack so put on when the wind picks up or you get chilly after an ascent. the fabric is awesome as well, it stretches and breathe well. You cant go wrong with this piece. I have worn it up to winter on the east coast. just throw an R2 or something like that under it and you will be pretty warm into cold temps.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
