I have had many pairs and versions of those socks. I have used the PhD ski version, the hiking, use them for MTB. They are the best socks, fit well, wicked, awesome feel. I would not replace them for any others.

I love this boot for the reasons I listed but the fit is not quite there. It runs a little big i think? and certainly is wider. With standard size hiking socks my feet see alot of movement but my heel tends to stay in place which is great. Unrivaled comfort from shin to ankle and the shock absorption makes these boots capable of all day comfort.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
