Comments about Pinole 20 Sleeping Bag (Synthetic):

Used camping in late November in western Washington. Perfect fit as long as you get the right size for you. Didn't really insulate me from the cold ground so I had to put a space blanket under it to get to sleep. A liner or sleep mat should fix that issue. Occasionally I will snag the zipper when closing the bag but it's easily fixed and preventable if you take your time. Took a while to find a bivy but eventually went with the OR Aurora Bivy which works well.

A good price on a good sleeping bag

      Pros

      • Inexpensive
      • Well-made

      Cons

      • Inaccurate Temp Rating

      Best Uses

      • Three season backpacking

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole 20 Sleeping Bag (Synthetic):

I used the sleeping bag on a short backpacking trip in May. Although I'm not entirely confident I'd be comfortable at 20 degrees F--it's rating--I was quite warm at 45 (which is also pretty cold), especially fully zipped and in a pair of long underwear. Also notably, I'm six feet tall and fit well in the bag. The measurements are spot on. On the whole, I think it's a great buy for the price.

Comments about Mountain Hardwear Pinole 20 Sleeping Bag (Synthetic):

This is an inexpensive quality sleeping bag which can be used for either car camping or overnight backpacking. Quality build, the only exception is the zipper isn't as smooth as it could be. Overall a great bag for the price.
