This tent is outstanding. It takes a few practice set-ups in good weather to be proficient with the poles, but that is the case with any tent. Once you do it a few times it is a piece of cake. Since there is no fly, the tent doesn't get wet or dirty during setup. Once inside it has an amazing amount of head room and ventilation options. Stash pockets on the interior walls are great for keeping track of smaller items like gloves and headwear that you need at night when nature calls. This tent isn't cheap, but seems like it will last a long time with proper care. If you can afford the extra money, buy this over heavier lighter double walled models.

I've owned and used many tents over 20 plus years of guiding. This tent stands out as my favorite for the following reasons:
1. Relatively light
2. Excellent construction standards
3. Roomy given size and weight
4. Strong enough for full-on winter conditions
5. Intelligent design in terms of practical features

I have found little no condensation when used in Alpine environment. I especially enjoy this tent when ski-touring and doing Alpine climbing; it is light but is full featured and plenty strong enough for high winds and heavy snow-loads. It pitches fast and stays tight over extended storm times. It is a jewel; a kind of perfect tent in my view.

This tent was built for conditions far more extreme than I will probably ever encounter.Why would I purchase one you might ask.I guess I like the idea of having a spacious fortress of a tent that can handle harsh conditions in comfort without a huge weight penalty.All the floor space is useable.It feels like a "room" more than a tent.
In cold wet conditions you will have more condensation than in a double wall tent but I can deal with that.(I just wipe up the condensation that runs down the side wall onto the floor in the morning).
The poles can feel a little hard to slide in the sleeve but you soon get the hang of it.
