Ive only used the pad in my tent, but i plan to take it with me the next time i crash on someones floor for a night or two or when i have lawn seats to a game or concert. It actually made me feel a *little* warmer during a rainy night in the low 50s. I got it for padding though, and thats where this pad really delivers. No more bruising, no more middle of the night adjusting around stones and sticks - just sleep. The large is more pad than i need at 5'10" but the medium was out of stock. Im happy with the size and weight of the large for backpacking.

I purchased this for a hiking and camping trip to Peru. We hiked the Inca Trail 4 days and 3 nights. We slept in tents on the ground. It was amazingly comfortable even with its small size and weight - which was a plus as well. I have been camping as an adult for over 25 years. Comfort is important to me and this fit the bill perfectly. Price was right too.

After 20 years on non-inflatable hard-core pads I needed something real to adjust to the >35 years. A 2/3 Thermarest (upper body only) of a friend I borrowed twice was lighter but narrower and I rolled of the mat sideways when turning plus the feet were cold on the bare tent bottom (Lost Coast, Mt. Lassen). I decided to get an upgrade for myself and this one (size L) fit perfectly. I used it twice now (Bucks Lake and Emigrant Wilderness) and I haven't felt that comfy and warm on the ground in a wile. Enough space to move around for me (6.1/190#, 184/85Kg) on the sides and feet and back are warm and padded. In an ideal world it could be lighter and smaller but it fits nicely into my 70L pack. Seems durable, no issues yet.
