Comments about Pythos2 BUGrip Trail Running Shoe - Women's:

I live in Minnesota so run in all conditions. I would say this shoe has both good and bad traction. It's great for packed snow and bumpy ice, but I've had a few near-wipeouts on smooth ice. I do like that the metal spikes are near the edges of the shoes as compared to the metal spikes on rubber slip on type of ice guards, which have the spikes mostly in the center. Those seem easy to turn an ankle, whereas these I don't feel like that will happen. I don't like running with these on pure asphalt or concrete as they are noisy, but that's the case for all metal spikes. I like that the shoe is pretty water-proof, too. I really hate it when in my other shoes I inadvertently step in a puddle and am stuck with a wet shoe for the rest of my run.
