Fantastic mid layer light weight fast drying and the hood is great when worn under a light weight waterproof hooded jacket. Two side zip pockets also inside zip pocket and additional zip pocket on the arm.

The garment is very soft and very well made. I wear or pack in my back pack
every hike.
You will not be dissapointed with the purchase and a great price

I bought this fleece to take on a six week backpacking trip in Europe.

So far, I have used it as a standalone jacket in temps down to 35 deg F. The Marmot Reactor can keep you comfortably warm at those temperatures as long as the wind is not blowing. If you plan on using this jacket down near freezing, you need to have a windproof shell.

Since it is currently winter in the Midwest, I have more often than not used the Marmot Reactor with a shell. In this configuration, I can stay super toasty even when the temperatures drop below freezing.

The fleece is incredibly soft, the pockets are large, and the zipper works great. The hood is awesome for days when I forget a hat, and is also nice on cold days as a backup to a beanie. The material that this fleece is made out of is also really lightweight, which is a great thing to have for backpacking. The only negative thing I have to say about the reactor is it's size. It fits well, but it is not a slim athletic cut. If you are using this fleece as a midlayer, you can't comfortably have an slim cut shell over it.

In the end, I have no regrets about purchasing the Marmot Reactor. It's a great piece of equipment.
