      Comments about Sphinx 20 Backpack:

I bought this pack for hiking but also use it for traveling on the plane. I didn't want one of the 30l day packs that have 8 different pockets and you can never remember what is were. I am 6'4 and this pack is long and slim so it still fits very well for being a 20l, it rides just right on my back and the waist belt is right were it needs to be. One of the other main reasons I picked this pack was the D-shape opening, it works great for getting access to everything in the pack with pulling it all out. I have only had it a few months and a couple hikes in NJ and MT but look forward to many more.

      Comments about Sphinx 20 Backpack:

My family and I are taking a trip to Disney World in November. I bought this pack to carry my camera gear (DSLR, 2 lenses and a travel tripod), snacks, ponchos, and a few things we might need for our 3 year old daughter (change of clothes).

I like that the pack opens much like a duffle bag with the large D-shaped zipper. It allows you to get access to what you need without having to blindly feel around for what you're looking for.

I don't plan to use the hydration pouch on our trip to Disney, but when we go for a day hike, I'm sure we will use it.

Even with a heavy DSLR, heavy pro lens, and a travel tripod, the pack is still very comfortable. The way the shoulder straps are designed and contoured is a very nice touch.

      About Marmot

      Marmot
In April 1971, Eric Reynolds and Dave Huntley were in Alaska's Juneau Icefield where the idea of a Marmot Club began. The name 'Marmot' refers to a group of highly social, large ground squirrels that live in mountainous areas. To become a Marmot, you had to climb a glaciated peak with another Marmot. That summer and over the next two years, Eric and Dave began making prototypes of down products in their dorm room in addition to establishing the Marmot Club. Marmot has grown quite a bit, but one thing has never changed: the commitment to designing the highest quality performance product. Marmot has become widely recognized as one of the premier outdoor gear and clothing brands in the world today.
