Comments about Stratos 36 Pack (2200 cu in):

Bought this bag to replace a Stratos 34 because I needed more room in a small bag. I can comfortably pack for overnight trips for one adult and two kids. I love the bag and have no regrets. The bag does not stand on its own, but I'm fine with that since I plan to only use this for overnight travel as well as some day hikes. I wanted one bag versus the three that I used to have and sold to fund this bag.

Comments about Stratos 36 Pack (2200 cu in):

I used this backpack on a three week trip through Cambodia and Vietnam. I was amazed how it held up as i continually crammed more and more junk in it. Towards the end i was waiting for it to explode from too much pressure. I didnt pace myself buying souvenirs and had to literally stand on the top of it to get it closed. it probably weighed 70 pounds when i went through customs. Being in warm climates, the airflow on the back was a great feature. I would like to have had some more gear attachment points or daisy loops on the outside. the hip belt was great. I was really impressed with this backpack and cant wait to use it on my next adventure.

Comments about Stratos 36 Pack (2200 cu in):

I actually purchased this backpack so I can carry groceries, packages, gym clothes etc around NYC without killing my back and having to pack multiple bags for the day like so many people do around here. Today was my first day with this pack and I am really pleased with it... I have to get used to the internal frame. I was used to a frameless pack that was not as nice but on the subway the rigidity of the frame can be a bit of an issue when you sit down and have to hold the pack on your lap. Otherwise this pack certainly made my commuting life a lot easier today and balanced the load much better on my back than my old pack ever did. Even in winter my back stayed cool and comfortable which is a bonus when running around hot stores. I wish osprey did more frameless panel load packs WITH a lid in a smaller profile for quick jaunts out or just walking around being an at-home tourist. I like to be able to throw a light coat under the lid and tie it down. Better than elastic lashing on the front of a pack. The lid also covers the zippers and prevents pick pocketing etc. The pockets in the lid are really helpful and a great feature. I am really excited about the included rain cover when the snow or rain starts falling.
