I am very active, I hike about once a week. These shorts are the best all-around shorts I have ever owned. They breath, they stretch, the don't chafe, they have an integrated belt that does not interfere with a pack. These shorts hold up better to abrasion than most. In addition the shorts are long enough to be respectable. They are great!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Purchased these awhile back and have been unable to remove them since. I consider these an all around sport short. Have used them Climbing, Running, Wet Wading the rivers and doing crossfit. The fabric gives great stretch when active and is the most comfortable ones I own. I have been very impressed with these and honestly don't think anyone can go wrong with a pair.
