Great Boots

I bought these boot over a month ago. I know it is early for a review but I am a very active individual. I was raised in the Wyoming Mountains and then spent 10 years in the military before settling in Colorado the last 20 years. In the month or so since I recieved the boots I have put on about 150 miles on them in the Colorado mountains with no breaking in. I know for some that sound crazy but my feet have never given me any issue and can take almost any boot thrown at them, yes some are more comfortable than others but I found with the right socks, foot powders and changing socks regularly during long hikes most any boot will work for my feet as long as they fit properly. In the month plus I have had them, I hike in and out of snow on the rain bow trail and four over nighters in the high country on snow shoe adventures. The boots for my feet are excellent, some of the most comfortable I have owned. They have kept my feet dry with no sweating issue but then again I am hiking in cold weather and snow shoeing in sub zero weather. The boots are not insolated so my feet do get a little chilly if I am stationary to long but that is to be expected. I am extremely happy so far but I will write an addition to this review at the end of the summer season to give a more balanced review.

I'm retired and hiking is my hobby, so I get to walk as much as I want and good hiking boots are the bedrock of my gear. Summit GTX are the best boots that I have tried, they are comfortable from day one and even when it is time to replace they still feel great.
