Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Cook N Save:

The Vargo Hex folding small-stick stove fits perfectly inside the snow Peak Cook-n-Save pot, even in the included cover!

These 2 all-titanium items are a heating kit that needs no high-tech fuels to warm your food or sterilize your water. Sure, it's over a hundred bucks combined (on sale even), but it's very-very-light and takes hardly any space in your pack (when you fill the pot with other items, protecting them very well from crushing).

The Hex stove concentrates and preserves the heat of a small fire, while the wide pot sucks in the heat for a quick boil, esp. if you only put about a liter in the pot (half full). Boiling is the most effective (and reliable) low-tech way to rid your water of dangerous wild bacteria in what seems like clean running water.

Given the low weight, low space and high utility of this combo, I must recommend it to amateur and professional people living in or anticipating a lack of civil infrastructure living and need to travel light.

          Best wishes.

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Cook N Save:

I bought this pot because I needed something bigger to cook meals in for my wife and I when motorcycle camping. This pot is great it's the perfect size for us. Also on a bike weight is a factor and at a few ounces this pot is great. You really need to hold it to feel how amazingly light it is. I can easily fit my stove and alcohol burner inside easily along with fuel. I love it and would recommend it to anybody considering purchasing it.'

Comments about Snow Peak Titanium Cook N Save:

Payment processing was flawless. Shipping was n/c by being over minimum. Delivery was by cheapest method (USPS) but arrived in about 80 hours from Logan UT to Portland OR. Packaging was sturdy box with padding, and everything arrived fine. Lesson: buy stuff in March, not December. No Sales Tax in OR, so no Internet Sales Tax to complain about.

I looked closely at the description on this and several sites to compare. It really is a 1.9L pot, BUT it's only good for boiling 1.5L of water. The handles do not get hot if you extend them from the pot while cooking. They do get hot if you leave them tucked in. The included plastic lid seals tight and allow the ti lid to sit rattle-free on the pot in your bag. The plastic lid will melt if you cook with it.

Packaging was minimal and recyclable, but came with instructions and mfg./importer contact info. 5 stars on the thoughtful design of every part of this pot. I expect to have it for the rest of my life, thus amortized into a very good financial move.

            Cheers.
