Comments about Trail Back Trekking Poles:

My girlfriend and I used to share the trail shock poles and after a few trips I decided to get my own. I wasn't a huge fan of the shock so just decided to get these and so far I am very happy.

The only disadvantage of these is that they don't have the purpose pole grip underneath the main handle that the trail shocks do. But I solved that by using some strapping tape. This works fine for me but others might prefer the actual grip.

Over all very happy, they are solid and reliable plus they collapse to a size which is easy to strap onto the side of the pack.

Comments about Trail Back Trekking Poles:

These are great for the price, I think I got them on sale too. Good all around trekking pole. I could see investing more if you are using them a lot more than I do, but I think they are an excellent product and value!

Comments about Trail Back Trekking Poles:

I really enjoy this piece of gear. I got it at a really low price but after my experience with it, I would have paid much more for it.
the flicklock is faster and better then other adjustments, adjusting for climbs/descends takes 30 sec max, and you can so it only the fly, while walking.
the grip is rubber and it's very comfortable for me. the strip is OK.

after buying this product and enjoying using it so much, I bought the trail shock. the trail shock lost the feeling of being something simple. it weights a bit more, it's more cumbersome and overall, I am going to replace my pair of trail shock with another trail back poles.

            pro:
the snow baskets are really great for mud.
done the Rwenzori mountains in Uganda(Africa) with them. the poles are holding out strong.

            the only weakness:
the pole is sturdy up to ~135cm long. I am 6'1(185cm) and use the 125cm setting for general purpose. on steep descends I use it on 135cm, and it flexes a bit to much. for someone over 185cm, I would look for a sturdier(maybe elliptical) poles.
