I considered this for a thru-hike of the Pacific Crest Trail, and heard many good things about it, and finally made the decision to buy it a few weeks ago. It arrived quickly and has fulfilled all of my expectations. It is lighter than advertised, very warm, and fits well under a rain jacket or windshirt. The sleeves are slightly longer than I'd personally like, but I knew that was a possibility, and I have a barrel chest, so the torso fits perfectly. I am very happy with this purchase and look forward to using it in the Sierras.

Loving this jacket. The Mont Bell UL Down jacket has performed well in light rain. The tight weave on the fabric makes it pretty water resistant. With only a long sleeve mid-weight layer and the jacket I was comfortable in 45 degree temps. The jacket has good wind resistance as well. Main benefit is the lightweight design, I hope to use this on some upcoming backpacking trips it packs small and light.
