I ordered this in anticipation of a trip abroad where the temperature will change widely during the day. This jacket is incredibly lightweight. In fact, it took a while for my brain to realize that even though it felt like I was wearing nothing, I was warm! Be aware of the sizing. I am a pretty solid medium in most things (5' 7", 160 lbs) but this runs a bit small. The large fits very well.

I bought this jacket in black and loved it so much I bought the teal version a few weeks later. It's so comfortable and lightweight but warm, and I LOVE that the label is not on the lapel! I can wear it in the city and still look stylish. Love love love it. Will also use it for every trip since it packs up s small. Highly recommended.

Bought this in gun metal color because it was all that was available for the sale price in my size. Now, I love the color....very modern and somewhat sophisticated looking. I will be wearing it as part of a layering system when I hike the Grand Canyon next week.So important to get the most warmth for the least amount of weight and I feel like this jacket will work beautifully for that.I am petite and I ordered a Medium jacket. It fits me really well but might be snug on someone who usually wears a regular size medium.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
