The tent proved to be a breeze to set up even in difficult campsites. It is free standing and did not even stake it down most nights. The outer cover is designed in such a way one can keep the windward side down and the other side tied off high to vent the tent. It is roomy for one person and all their gear inside, zip it up and your in for the night. 2 people can fit quite well as I bought the XL, this tent is pretty wide and extra long. We just did a 5 day 4 night 83 mile trek through the High Uinta's and the temps dipped into the low teens. I feel the tent provided adequate wind break and thermal retention to keep out the chill. Simple set up and quality seamed pan make this tent a keeper for me. Very lightweight even with the foot print. My only con is if you have 2 people the vestibule would need to be larger to protect your gear from the rain, but we all packed our own tents and this is a non-issue for me. Buy one, you will be thrilled at how versitile this tent proves to be.

i love this tent so far. it's super easy to setup. this is my first tent and i'm so glad i didn't buy a REI one like my other friends. the rain fly is awesome. all the zippers are sturdy and easily open and securely close.
