I have been searching for a long time for a jacket that could be used for a variety of activities. I snow ski, hike, go to the gym etc. This jacket is so portable because it is lightweight and easy to carry but it is also incredibly warm. It was also a very good price. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

The Variant jacket is a great fleece layer for colder days or on its own as a jacket when it's just cool, and not windy. Surprisingly it isn't as warm as I expected, and hoped it would be with the Primaloft vest which is why I only give it four stars. As expected the fleece won't block any cold wind out, so it makes a great breathable athletic layer for any cardio-intensive activity but you'll need something more if you're sitting at a belay station while climbing.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
