I bought his jacket because I was tired of layering a bunch and still being cold during this perpetual British winter. I specifically picked it because it offered the warmth of down without the unattractive "bubble" styling of the typical down jacket. In that respect it looks great. I wear this jacket nearly every day and it looks good with anything from a pair of jeans to slacks to snow pants. The fit is very nice. Im 5'10" and wear a 16, 34-35 dress shirt and it fits great. The sleeves are the perfect length and the bottom of the jacket ends at my waist. The H2No fabric is great at keeping me and the down dry. The lining in the pockets keeps your hands very warm. Similar lining is applied to the inside of the top of the main zipper which keeps the zipper from abusing your face and neck should you zip it all the way up.
Overall it's a wonderful jacket. It looks great, fits well, and keeps the wind and water out. The 625 fill power down is just as warm as advertised. It's warm enough to comfortably get you through temps around just below 10-20Fwith wind and precipitation. If you're looking for something for really cool climates then I'd go with something in the 800-900 fill power range. That being said I think that this coat is great, durable, designed smartly, warm enough for me, and stylish. I love it.
