Sporting a frame of 5'3" and weighing in at 104 lbs., George W. Sears (1821-1890), who published books and spaper articles about outdoor life under the pseudonym "Nessmuk", was not only a true lightweight in his own right, but also a strong proponent for lightweight outdoor gear during his life as an outdoor enthusiast. The typical Nessmuk knife is therefore rather handy and has the characteristic, slightly elongated blade shape. To honor to this concept, Jesper Voxnaes has developed a particularly compact version of this Nessmuk knife that not only works well in outdoor and hunting applications, but is also an ideal knife for everyday use. Made from premium S30V powder-metal steel and equipped with grip scales made from green canvas Micarta, the Nessmi is second to none with respect to edge retention and handling. Yellow fiber layers beneath the handle scales and a particularly fine satin finish provide visual accents and give the Nessmi exceptional appeal. Includes brown leather sheath. Blade length: 2 1/2". Overall length: 5 1/8". Weight: 3.1 oz.![]()
