Starting with its solid aluminum MQ body that houses Daiwas Tough Digigear, these components work together to give anglers more power and easier winding during the fight. Daiwas renowned MAGSEALED technology seals the main shaft and line roller from saltwater intrusion into the reel body, preventing premature wear and corrosion.

AIRDRIVE DESIGN is fully integrated to lighten the overall weight while enhancing balance, sensitivity, and cranking power. The AIRDRIVE SHAFT reduces friction of the oscillation mechanism during fights making it easier to crank the handle while fighting fish. The light but strong AIRDRIVE SPOOL provides a more accurate drag response and features a lifted edge along the skirt of spool to prevent line wrapping underneath. Certate HD LT sports an aluminum AIRDRIVE ROTOR for enhanced strength while maintaining even rotational balance - removing excess vibration that could dull the rods sensitivity. Daiwas tubular AIRDRIVE bail is light, strong, and easily guides line smoothly to the line roller for lightening fast reactivity when your bait hits the water.

MQ Body takes reel design to the next level. The MQ system does not require a body cover, instead using an engine plate to screw directly to the body. Eliminating the need for screws to hold a body cover in place. MQ body improves the strength of the reel, it also improves the water-resistance of the body and allows a larger diameter drive gear to be installed.

Ultimate protection is delivered to the engine room of the reel with a magnetised oil seal located on the main shaft of the reels rotor shutting the door to the elements and unwanted intruders. Dust, water, and salt intrusion into the inner workings of a reel are a thing of the past with MagSeal.
