The special Race wood core is made 100% of premium Paulownia, while for racing products only the best 10 percent of the wood is used. Thus, you get the optimum relationship between weight and ski strength. The DNA ski also has a 100% 'UD' carbon fiber top and bottom layer. UD is the abbreviation to describe the 'uni' or one-directional arrangement of the fibers. Compared to classic carbon construction, UD carbon lends higher tensile strength and greater resilience while maintaining a lower density.
