This is a great tent for family backpacking! Easy to set up, plenty of room for four, excellent head room! It's a tad heavy, but worth it for the interior space it offers. The weather resistance is adequate and is secure in high winds if staked down properly,

Wishing I could find replacement parts for this tent. Need to replace the two Junction Tubes (holding front/back top of poles in place). Originally had the older style 'Alpine Meadows' tent, and it had these parts in plastic which of course crack and break over time. The only part of the tent that could actually malfunction - and doesn't seem like they are available to purch... Read more

I just looked this tent up to see if they still make it, not because I need a new one. It's not the lightest and doesn't have the most advanced features, but it is extremely durable and has never failed me.
For car camping, this is an unbeatable value. Feels like home. I have literally been using it all across the U.S. for over 30 years. It's in my personal gear hall of fame.

The bathtub floor that minimizes seams, and reduces exposure to the weather and standing water. This tent offers a factory-sealed rain-fly and floor, however, additional care/treatment would be useful for the exposed seams on the lowest corners and beneath the windows.
