The Kong Ferrata carabiner is designed for quick, one hand operation and is designed specifically on the famed Via Ferrata routes in the Alps. It has many other uses as well. The Ferrata biner's Express Locking (E/X) sleeve is not designed for belaying use. It is helpful for quick and secure connections to cables and fixed lines such as those found on a rope course or Via Ferrata.
