Great in between boot. Not as stiff as a full mountain boot. Perfect off trail when your not dealing with super steep slopes and scree. I rarely am on trails so I need something relatively stiff for rocks uneven terrain and sidehilling. Fits the bill perfectly.

Tried to tightened the laces right out of the box when trying on the shoe for the first time and the webbing for one of the shoe lace loops snapped off the shoe. Never had that happen on any mountaineering shoe/boot before but needless to say equipment failure of this kind is highly concerning.
