This all-arounder is ideal for ambitious mountain tours, via ferratas and for tackling 14ers. Its been updated with a new lacing system for improved stability and comfort, and a new sole package with a PU wedge for cushioning and a stiffer TPU wedge for stability. Semi-automatic crampon compatible. Featuring a durably waterproof/breathable GORE-TEX lining to protect feet from the elements.

Lowa build boots with varying degrees of flexibility depending on intended use.

A low profile midsole for weight reduction and increased sensitivity.

Lowa boot love

I have these, multiple pairs of the Tibet, and the Explorer II. Also have multiple Scarpa and La Spotiva boots. These fit my foot well and have great upper mobility with a stiff shank. If you want stiffer uppers go with the Tibet or Baffin. These are great for the forestry and arborist work I use them for. True to size and I found them comfortable out of the box. Great tread on...

Versatile, Good Protection, Expensive

I have had these boots a few weeks and plan to put thousands of miles on them. Their support and protection to weight ratio is wonderful. The boots have stiff side-to-side support with good forward-backward freedom. Lowa advertises them as mountaineering boots.
